This is one of the earliest marbrie decorated sugar bowls I have seen, having the 18th century type of inset cover. Heavy grey tinted lead glass and probably an item made in Pennsylvania in the 1770-1820 time period. A very rare and unusual sugar bowl. Height 7.5 inches overall. Pontil on top of cover and under the foot.
